Shota was the second ever person/character that I had feelings for (and I say feelings and not specifically "romantic feelings" because my view on this is rather complicated) in a way that didn't feel like a desperate attempt to distract myself from something else. And it's nice because I still have those feelings! I think you'll notice a pattern of "tired but loving (accidental) dads" in my fictional relationship history.
